A backup is insurance you remember too late. A sound backup strategy is built on three levels.
Level 1. The host's automatic copies
On WPHost, weekly backups of files and the database are created automatically and kept 7 to 30 days. Recovery — in one click from the panel.
Level 2. Copies via a plugin
Additionally set up a plugin (for example, UpdraftPlus) with upload to the cloud — this is a channel independent of the host.
Level 3. An offline copy
Periodically download the site archive to a local drive. This protects against the rarest but most fatal scenarios.
A backup that has never been restored can't be considered working. Test recovery at least once a quarter.
